Becoming a Member of the NZMBA
To join the NZMBA you must complete the application form below. Also you must read the NZMBA Membership Rules, Code of Ethics and Standards. When you join the Association you are bound by these. The application form contains a number of obligations. PLEASE READ THEM CAREFULLY BEFORE SIGNING.

Ensure you enclose all relevant documentation and the $300 one off, non refundable, joining application fee.

To assist with completing your application here is a checklist.
Please attach the following to your application where relevant.
• Current and detailed CV
• In House Training details
• Essentials of Mortgage Broking. If you have passed the course please attach a copy of the certificate.
• Structured Mentoring Programme details.
• Professional Indemnity Insurance Certificate of Currency. A copy from the insurer specifying the name of the applicant as "the Insured: unless an employer and employee are specified as covered). For full details and an application for PI Cover, call our preferred supplier Crombie Lockwood at 0800CROMBIE. They offer a very competitive package to NZMBA members.
• Current Credit Report on yourself, written explanation of adverse entries is required.
• Cheque for $300.00 (non-refundable application fee)
• Supporting information to all questions as appropriate
• Fully complete and sign/witness this form
Once you have been accepted as a member of the NZMBA you will be sent confirmation via email. A pro rated invoice from the date of acceptance until the end of the subscription period will also be emailed. Please note that a $300 portion of this fee is for the advertising levy. This is voted on and agreed at the Association's Annual General Meeting each year. As a new member you will instantly receive recognition of the brand from day one. The Association needs to commit advertising funds to a year long campaign and this portion of the fees will not be pro rated. We will however pro rata the remainder of the fees. This subscription fee is payable 20 of the month following.
The annual subscription period runs from 1 April to 31 March and is set by the NZMBA Committee each year. It is not refundable.

NZMBA Accredited Training Providers
You are required to complete a pre-requisite mortgage training course with an NZMBA accredited training provider. The pre-requisite course is entitled the "Essentials of Mortgage Broking" and the content has been set by the NZMBA. A pass score of at least 85% is required. You are also required to have some lending experience.
